from the sr. warden January 2016
Hello my friends,
The church was full of God’s family, children were all dressed in pageant fixings, the bells, strings, and flute were filling the air with blessed sounds, and the choir and organ made the most beautiful music imaginable. We were all celebrating our Lord’s birth with joy, love, and peace. It just doesn’t get any better than that. We are truly blessed, my friends.
Last year was a year of growth for the church, the parish, and for many of us. I have learned so much this year about forgiveness, understanding, and compassion, but mostly about the one, true important thing: our worship and service to God. I know you all join me in thanks to both Fr. Eric and Fr. David for helping us move to a place of peace and love as we worship our Lord.
As I think about the many wonderful ministries that bring us together at. St. Boniface, I see the power that fellowship has in understanding God’s will. This is a church filled with caring, talented people, and through you, we can create a future with many more opportunities for outreach as we move into a new year.
I hope each and every one of you will join us for the Annual Meeting on Sunday, January 17th at 11:15 a.m. in the Boniface Community Center, and then for the All Parish Planning Meeting on Saturday, January 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Annual Meeting will give you a broad picture about our worship and finances in 2015, as well as a first look at 2016. The All Parish Planning Meeting will be an opportunity for you to help us in our calling of a Rector. We need to hear your voice.
I’m joined by the Vestry, Staff, and Clergy in wishing each of you and your families a very Happy New Year.
Yours in Christ, Doug Francis
