Wonderful Wednesdays coming up
Join us for worship at 5:30 p.m. in the Church, social time and catered dinner at 6:00 in the Community Center, (for dinner reservations, please sign up at Coffee Hour or call 941-349-5616 x5 by noon the Tuesday before, $10pp), then programs after dinner.
January 16 & 23: Rev. Canon Michael Piovane on the Poetry of Evelyn Underhill (Community Center):  Using insights and observations found in the writings of Evelyn Underhill, a 20th century poet, novelist, and spiritual writer, these two seminars will explore ways to develop and maintain a sane spiritual life for ordinary people.  The focus of Underhill’s reflections on spirituality are on the practical and the normal.  For her “spirituality” is something easily found at home, at work, at play – wherever life happens.
AND Bill Tiffan on Getting our Priorities Straight (Library):  We’ll explore common areas of everyday life that directly contribute to our well-being and sense of purpose.  We’ll look at how we’re doing now and discuss principles for setting priorities in six areas: emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical, vocational and social. The class will be highly interactive with practical exercises and stimulating discussions.
January 30: Christian Practice And Our Neighbors of Other Faiths with Rev. Dr. Jay T. Rock, religious historian and former director of inter-faith relations for the National Council of Churches, and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) (Community Center) and Bill Tiffan on Getting our Priorities Straight (Library)

special speaker January 20

Join us in the Community Center after the 10:00 service with registered dietician Rebecca Henson.  Ms. Henson teaches people to “health up” their lifestyle in fun, delicious ways, with the mission to help as many people as possible achieve their perfect weight and their best health.

faith and foundations

To better accomplish the task of learning about our Episcopal and Anglican heritage, sacraments, liturgies, and theologies of the church, we will have a Faith and Foundations class from 9:00-9:45. The format will have a focus on lecture, sharing in groups, and opportunities to practice. We hope to nurture our God-given intellect as much as we nurture our love of God and others. Sundays, 9:00 in the Community Center.  Click here to view the schedule.

Siesta Youth Chorale
St. Boniface Church’s newest community-wide music ministry, provides music enrichment for children in preschool through 5th grade.  Students will learn musicianship skills using the Royal School of Church Music “Voice for Life” curriculum, and through group classes, rehearsals and individual music lessons.  Auditions and registration are still open, rehearsals are weekly. To join, contact Dr. James Guyer, 941-349-5616 x326 or syc@bonifacechurch.org.  Click here to learn more about this program.

nursery care

St. Boniface is pleased to welcome Yu Ya Hersey to the staff, caring for our youngest parishioners on Sunday mornings.  She brings with her much experience and high credentials.  Childcare is available Sunday mornings 8:45 – 11:45 a.m. in the Nursery.

Join us for Church School!
Weaving God’s Promises  Children in Pre-K4 to 5th grade are welcome to join us on Sundays at 10:00 a.m.  A friendly greeter at the Welcome Table can direct you and your child to the classroom. The children return to their parents in church just before communion.
