The July Giving Tree supports Healthy Families, a local organization working with at-risk families in our community. They need backpacks and school supplies for the kindergarten-bound 5-year olds in families graduating from the program.  Click here for a list of supplies and drop-off information.

WANTED: VOLUNTEERS FOR SUMMER READING/TUTORING PROGRAM   

Brothers and Sisters Doing the Right Thing is running a reading and tutoring program for K - 5th graders in the Newtown Estates Park Program. “Three months without the benefit of reading is way, way too long for children of poverty. We are grateful that they are offered the safety of the Park program but little is offered to them in education or literacy,” says program leader, Dee Webber. Volunteers (including older teens!) are needed 9:00 - 10:00 Tuesday and Thursday mornings, June 22- August 5. Contact Dee at 379-3500 for info or to sign up.

FILL THAT LOFT!  Family Friendly Summer Choir   Music Minister Seth Wertz invites everyone to try out summer choir.  Familes with all ages welcome, even if you can only sing the melody line you are welcome.  Join the summer choir practice at 8 a.m. in the choir room any Sunday.  For more information call Seth Wertz at 349 5616 x 326 or email swertz@bonifacechurch.org
