christmas festival of nine lessons and carols

Our wonderful Schola Cantorum present this ancient service made famous by King's College, Cambridge, UK, through their annual Christmas Eve worldwide broadcast. The readings tell the Christmas story, and between each reading we all get to sing favorite carols. Bring your friends, but come early, good seats disappear fast!  Sunday, December 21, 6 p.m

BLOOD DRIVE   A half hour of your time can mean the gift of life – literally! -- for someone in our community.  Donating the gift of life is quick, simple, and (generally) painless.  So, roll up your sleeves at our drive for Suncoast Communities Blood Bank!  You need to be in good health, over 17 years old and weigh more than 110 pounds.  To schedule your time and avoid long waits, sign up at Coffee Hour. Child care is available 9:00-11:30 for donors. Sunday, December 21, 8:30 – 12:30, in the church parking lot.  For info contact the church office (941-349-5616).
Winter solstice labyrinth walk

We’ll talk about the legends surrounding Winter Solstice, why Christmas may have been set for this time of year, and do a ritual for rebirth, forgiveness, and sharing.  All are welcome!  Saturday, December 20, 5:00 p.m.
