Shining our Light at St. Boniface
We have the honor of chairing St. Boniface’s Stewardship Committee.  We consider it a special privilege because we have great love for St. Boniface.

We have been parishioners for more than 25 years. Our daughter, Hannah, was baptized here and grew up with Sunday school and youth group. Bob and I did our share of helping with beach parking and I am sure in our enthusiasm we probably parked a few cars where they really weren’t supposed to be!

Between us, we have taught Sunday school, have served on the Vestry, enjoyed Foyers, and chaperoned several youth mission trips – from Missouri, to Iowa, West Virginia and Rochester, NY– we both grew spiritually as much as the kids did, with every trip.
We tell you this because our love is deep, and our support follows.

The 2019-2020 Stewardship Committee is focused on this truth: all we have, hold, and experience is God’s gift to us - and God has entrusted each of us to care for what is given to us.

Our Stewardship theme is Shining Our Light.

And as the Committee looks around, St Boniface is exploding with examples of light shining from every endeavor and every person here.  From the music, to worship, to healing, to learning, to exploring spirituality, to working together to help others, to nourishing fellowship in all the small groups we have here – it is enormous how we can connect to each other and connect to Jesus through our shared beliefs and Christian love. And it’s breathtaking how we can go out and share this with others, in our daily lives, and in intentional outreach.

Our Committee is planning opportunities for each of us to continue to grow in our relationship with Christ, reflect on shining our light and explore ways to shine further as individuals and as a parish.  The annual appeal is part of our stewardship conversation, too.  We believe that as each of us deepens our connection to God, we will awaken to God’s abundance within and around us, and we will seek ways that we can shine that light into the world.

We will close with a prayer that our Stewardship Committee is using:
Gracious God, giver of all we have and hold as stewards; grant us, the people of St. Boniface, a deep and abiding awareness that all things come from you – our earth, our health, our incomes, our jobs, our talents and our generous impulse. Send your Holy Spirit to help us as a parish and as individuals, to consciously deepen our spiritual relationship with you. Through our relationship with you, abundance will flow. May we keep you in our hearts and minds as we move through this gift of today, thoughtfully and joyfully. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Faithfully yours,
Suzanne and Bob Gregory
