Dear Parents & Teachers,
It’s amazing to us how much your children grew during the holidays! It was so good having them return to Saint Boniface Preschool January 2nd. We’re off with a running start to begin the New Year. Our resolution is to create a magical environment for your child to learn and grow. Your participation in this mission is crucial to its success. Please talk with your child’s teacher to see how you can be involved in the process. We welcome and encourage your support.
We had a special treat this week with the visit of animals and reptiles from Sarasota Jungle Gardens. The children loved seeing and touching (if desired) a python, an alligator, a skunk (de-scented), and a tortoise. It really was a great experience for the children, parents, and guests in attendance.
During the coming months we’ll continue providing stimulating activities for the children and for you. In February, we will welcome Mote Marine and their program on sharks. March will see a Spaghetti Dinner night for parents, children, and possibly parishioners, as well as Allison Foster, the Principal of Phillippi Shores Elementary School, who will give a presentation on “Transitioning to Kindergarten”. This program is for our parents, as well as the general Sarasota community. Parent/Teacher conferences will be scheduled for late March/early April. Spring Break will arrive March 12-16. Our beloved 3rd Annual Beach Picnic will take place May 5th. The school year will end June 1. Summer School/Camp will begin June 4, but that’s for another letter!
We’ll keep you informed with more specifics as time marches on. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE CLOSED MONDAY, JANUARY 16TH IN OBSERVANCE OF MLK DAY.
Sincerely,
Richard Aubry, Ed.D.
